If there is one thing that runs through my whole life, it is spiritual–that is all kinds of–self-transformation. My primary path has been Buddhist. I met my root guru in 1972. The joke is that for many years, my path has been Dzogchen which is not about transformation at all, but merely about recognizing what has always been here, right at your heart, your core, the core of all reality. I'll say it again, it's right here, right now. “Ziji” is a Tibetan word and means “splendor,” “radiance,”briliance,” and sometimes “dignity” or “confidence” As in the Tibetan prayer, “[I pray to] Padma Gyalpo who…..overwhelms the world of all appearances and possibilities with splendor.” Recently, I went back to school and got  a degree in Transpersonal Counseling at Naropa so I could help people with a life-threatening diagnosis take full advantage of the clarity of their situations.
